Coahuila continues to be a magnet for foreign investment in the automotive sector with the recent announcement of an investment of 57.7 million dollars made by Grupo Mubea to build its third plant in the state, which it estimates will start in 2025 and generate 191 new jobs at its start.

The Tier 1 supplier company for the automotive sector arrived in Ramos Arizpe in 2001 with a 10,400 m2 plant, then expanded its operations with a second 8,135 m2 plant in 2012 and now, its third plant will add another 15 thousand square meters of operations for the manufacture of automotive fiberglass springs that replace steel ones.

That is, this will be the largest plant of the group in the state. "MUBEA is a company of German origin, dedicated to the manufacture of fiberglass tension springs for the automotive sector, supplying the main brands such as GM, Tesla, BMW and Ford among others," shared Governor Miguel Riquelme.

The president of Mubea, James Senna, mentioned during the event at the Government Palace that without the support of Coahuila, his latest investment would not have been possible and described the entity as fertile ground for industrial development.

The plant will lay its first stone next September in the Amistad Industrial Park in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, next to the Plan de Guadalupe International Airport.
