With an investment of 10 million dollars and the increase of its territorial extension by 3,500 square meters, the Canadian company Matcor Matsu announced the expansion of its operations. It is the fourth expansion that the company has carried out in the facilities of its plant in the Parque Industrial Amistad Aeropuerto, Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila.

Matcor Matsu specializes in manufacturing vehicle seats, as well as instrument panel structures, weld assemblies, and stampings. This project unifies its operations, since it seeks to serve its main clients in the region in a more personalized way, as is the case with Stellantis and General Motors.

Virgilio López Rascón, the company's director of operations, shared exclusively for Mexico Industry that the increase in its production volume will be 15%, in addition to the fact that they have the peculiarity that the equipment they are installing in the factory is unique. since no other company has them in the area.

He affirmed that they have the necessary human capital and that their collaborators are very competitive, from operators to technicians and engineers, which will help them face the challenge.

"Even internally, the Ramos Arizpe plant has to be very competitive in order to attract investment from companies from Michigan, Alabama and Ohio to invest in Mexico, for this reason we must have good quality, good indicators and continue to in continuous improvement to be the best option for the corporate”, he added.

Likewise, he highlighted that their activities in Coahuila have experienced great growth because they have managed to form a wonderful work team, which is due to the opportunities they give their workers to grow within the same company.

To conclude, López Rascón expressed that 50% of his supply is of foreign origin, since in Mexico there are some requirements that cannot be achieved yet, as is the case of cold rolling.
