Martinrea will expand plant in Ramos Arizpe, invest 20 million dollars

Martinrea confirmed that it will increase its operations in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, where it will invest 20 million dollars.

This Canadian company is an automotive supplier and specializes in the design, development and manufacture of metal parts, assemblies, modules, complex fluid management systems and aluminum products.

In this expansion, they will focus on the creation of assembly pieces, in an area of 16,700 square meters; and it is expected to start operations in June 2022, with an increase in the workforce of 250 new jobs.

It should be noted that since 2017, Martinrea has invested around 4,435 million dollars in the region. Since its arrival in this entity in the country, it has created approximately 3,500 jobs, while throughout the country it has just over 7,000 employees.

According to Solili, at the end of the first quarter of 2021, the industrial activity in the city of Saltillo presented a significant increase in the demand for its vacant spaces and buildings that are still under construction, also adding a BTS building for the Philips company, which will be expanding this year by just over 15 thousand square meters developed by Grupo Davisa.

This market reported a gross demand of 72 thousand square meters during the period January-March 2021 and most of it was concentrated in the Ramos Arizpe corridor.
