Marelli will invest 1.5 million dollars in 2022-2023 in Aguascalientes

At the conclusion of his work tour of Japan, the governor of Aguascalientes, Martín Orozco Sandoval, met with directors and executives of Marelli, who reiterated that the company will invest -during 2022 and 2023- a total of 1.5 million dollars, to in order to strengthen the operations carried out in its research and development center.

“This investment will be of great benefit to the population of the state, in addition to the fact that this guarantees the continuity of its projects in the entity, so that the necessary conditions for the development of its activities with the generation of jobs and a climate of economic certainty,” said the state president, through a statement.

In this sense, Orozco Sandoval reported that at the meeting the directors of the Italian-Japanese firm, established in the state in 2018, recognized the efforts made in terms of connectivity in the state, specifically the consolidation of the Poniente Highway Bypass, which facilitates the logistics of its operations in the transfer of the Aguascalientes Valley Industrial Park to the southern zone.

In the same way, they appreciated the promotion and rehabilitation of the Tres Centurias Railway Complex, since in this space the company installed its service center where more than 300 employees work.

It should be noted that the Marelli Group currently has a workforce of 9,700 employees in Mexico, of which more than 3,000 work in the Aguascalientes plants and centers.
