For Whirlpool, innovation is a key factor that has supported its growth, operations and its place at the forefront of the market.

In Nuevo León, its three plants (Supsa, Horizon and Plastics) are positioned as one of the most important manufacturing centers in Mexico.

Since 1985, the Supsa plant, the first in the entity, has been characterized by its development. where since its inception they produced manual one-door low-capacity refrigerators.

Today, they have integrated production lines capable of producing five automatic platforms with different capacities, ranging from 10 to 21 cubic feet.

In an area of 600 thousand square feet they manufacture the Top Mount line of refrigerators, and can manufacture more than two million units per year.

 "Currently, with consumer demand, we work practically at maximum use and export more than 83% of our production to the United States", shared the Director of the plant Enrique Sánchez.

Metal parts are manufactured at the plant and polyurethane injection is carried out; then, in the assembly lines, "we put countless pieces that make the distinction of all the models we manufacture, amounting to more than 200 different SKUs, to satisfy different tastes and needs".

In this sense, it highlighted the importance of its distribution center, of almost 55 thousand square meters, located in Prologis Park.

In it, Warehouse Management System is used, which is reflected in the cancellation of paper records and a high degree of automation of operations such as receipt of merchandise, storage and shipment.

This center plays an important role in the logistics of the company in the country, since it serves 17% of the production destined for the local market.

Additionally, they export to other countries in Central America, the Caribbean and the Andean region in Peru, Colombia and Ecuador, where the company has a market share of between 15 to 20 percent.
