Man Wah, a Chinese furniture company expands in Nuevo León

The furniture manufacturing company Man Wah announced an expansion of the plant it installed in the Hofusan Industrial Park, in Salinas Victoria. In a first stage they will invest 200 million dollars, with the generation of 4,000 jobs, said its CEO Bill Chan.

The company, which originated in the Hong Kong administrative district of China, will carry out a second stage of investment in two or three years, with a capital of 100 million dollars and the expansion of the plant will have an area of 200 thousand square meters.

Man Wah emerged in 1992 in Hong Kong and today is at the forefront of developing research, manufacturing, marketing and service, the manager mentioned.

"As a potential supplier of sofas, and other categories, Man Wha has a modern manufacturing and logistics system, with 12 bases in China, Poland, Ukraine, Estonia, to offer consumers the products."

Through a logistics network that extends over four continents, thousands of containers with tens of thousands of products are shipped all over the world, bringing express service to homes. In China it has a network of 6 thousand special stores.

In the future, the company will build a Smart Home World Center to help families have a more comfortable life, said Bill Chan.

For his part, the State Economy Secretary, Iván Rivas Rodríguez, explained that this company is the main producer of furniture in Hong Kong and a part of China.

They are going to build factories and warehouses that serve them to have machines, where the production will be carried out for internal consumption, but above all for export "we are waiting for it to be done through the Colombia Bridge", he emphasized.

It is worth mentioning that the Hofusan Industrial Park is located 20 kilometers from the Monterrey Metropolitan Area and 200 kilometers south of Laredo, Texas. The park was developed by Hofusan Real Estate, made up of China Holley Group, Futong Group and Familia Santos companies, in 2015.

In March 2019, the first Chinese auto parts company for the automotive sector, Hangzhou XZB Tech Co, was installed.
