Lingong Machinery Group invests 140 million dollars in a new plant in Nuevo León

With an investment of 140 million dollars, the Chinese company Lingong Machinery Group (LGMG) will build a new production plant for electric articulated elevators, within the Roots Airport industrial park, in the municipality of Marín, Nuevo León.

The leading company in the heavy machinery industry for construction, announced its investment project and contract signing during a hybrid ceremony held between company directors, officials from the Nuevo León Ministry of Economy, representatives of Invest Monterrey and the park Industrial Roots Airport.

Lingong Machinery Group announced that, together with two of its main suppliers, they occupy an area of around 30 hectares and will generate around 1,400 new jobs.

"We believe that with our joint work we will accelerate the production of the plant in Mexico and thus promote the expansion and optimization of the industrial chain in Mexico, strengthening the local industry and businesses," said Yu Mengsheng, president of LGMG Group.

He added that they aim to encourage more companies in the LGMG production chain to invest in Monterrey.

In turn, Andrés Ochoa Bünsow, president of the Board of Directors of Invest Monterrey, noted that together with the government and the local business ecosystem, the company of Chinese origin will be able to count on the necessary support to carry out its operations.

"We are convinced that projects of such high value for the state deserve all the support," said the leader.

On the other hand, the state Secretary of Economy, Iván Rivas Rodríguez, highlighted that Nuevo León is a state with a vision of the future, which seeks projects that promote and strengthen economic development.

Meanwhile, Mario Gutiérrez, owner of the Roots industrial park, thanked the company for choosing this park together with its suppliers to establish its operations in Nuevo León and in the country.

LGMG is regarded as one of the four largest groups in the construction machinery industry in China.

In the first quarter of 2022, the state of Nuevo León registered 1,105.8 million dollars of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), according to data from the federal Ministry of Economy.
