Private investment in Querétaro spills 12 billion pesos

During the advance of 2022 Queretaro has captured at least 27 private investment projects, according to records of the Secretariat of Sustainable Development (Sedesu), which represent about 12 billion pesos in investments and 7 thousand new jobs.

After the tour, the efforts of two projects that became known during the trip and for which Querétaro competes with other states of the national territory and even with other countries, also continue; only one of them would imply the creation of 1,000 jobs.

Brose was one of the firms that announced an expansion project at one of its plants in the state of Querétaro and during Governor Mauricio Kuri's tour, the installation of a new project that the company had planned for the Bajío was managed.

In turn, Grupo Prettl confirmed that it will install its third plant in the municipality of El Marqués. Metlac is also included in the list with the announcement of the expansion of its plant in the state, which will be used to produce metal coatings and packaging.

The installation of the Resinueva Research and Development Center was also confirmed, as well as the expansion of Eurotranciatura, dedicated to laminations for electrical rotating machines.

As part of the tour, it was reported that the state president met with Bosch executives, to whom he explained the characteristics and competitive advantages of the federal entity, with the purpose of consolidating a new project with which the company will expand its productive capacity.

Meanwhile, during the state's participation in the Hannover Messe 2022 industrial fair, in Germany, 51 business meetings were held; Kuri González attended 20 diplomatic or business meetings, which is equivalent to 84.4% of the 32 investments made in 2021.

However, the amount of investment was higher last year due to the confirmation of data centers that require higher capital. In 2021, according to agency reports, 32 investment projects were completed for 32,287 million pesos and 11,207 jobs.
