Mexico City solidified its position as the state with the highest average housing price in the country in June 2026; however, this indicator masks a market with significant differences between boroughs.

According to the Banorte Housing Price Index (Inbaprevi), the price per square meter varies by up to 3.8 times between Cuauhtémoc and Tláhuac, a difference of 55,656 pesos.
Inbaprevi placed the average housing price in the capital at 58,257 pesos per square meter, the highest among the 15 states analyzed. In contrast, Tamaulipas registered the lowest value, at 19,325 pesos per square meter.

When the data is broken down by borough, the interactive dashboard of the indicator shows that only Cuauhtémoc and Miguel Hidalgo exceed the average housing price in the capital, while the rest of the boroughs are below that level.
