Kern-Liebers invests 10 million dollars for expansion in Nuevo León

The state of Nuevo León continues to be one of the main attractions for foreign investment in Mexico in 2023. In the presence of local and state authorities, the German auto parts, textile and consumer company Kern-Liebers inaugurated its new plant in the municipality Guadalupe, Nuevo León, within the Finsa Industrial Park.

The company announced at the event the upcoming expansion of this same plant for 10 million dollars, generating 300 new direct jobs that will be focused on the manufacture of up to 50 million pieces per year for seat belts, lifelines, hose retractors, tape measures, window springs, among others. The new plant has an extension of 6,170 square meters, while the expansion will add an additional 9,000 m2.

“For the company it is of the utmost importance to be present in the North American region, the largest commercial market in the world. We are convinced that NL is the ideal location to be in this region, due to its geographical location, excellent connectivity and favorable conditions for the industry, in addition to the good quality of life it offers our employees”, said Timm Jenisch, Senior Vice President Kern-Liebers for North America.

Kern-Liebers has two other plants in Mexico, two of them in Querétaro and another in the State of Mexico, where they manufacture springs and wire, as well as having stamping and die-cutting process lines.
