The Kemet company, located in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, announced the expansion of its operations plant, a project that will generate new job opportunities.

Kemet Victoria arrived in the capital of Tamaulipas in 1999, and as the years have passed, it has grown, not only in terms of infrastructure, but also in its workforce.

Kemet Victoria's expansion project consists of expanding the production of polymer capacitors, contemplating up to 33 million pieces per month that are manufactured from the operations plant located in the capital of Tamaulipas.

In addition, an investment of 20 million dollars is estimated, which will allow the generation of more than 500 new jobs by March 2022.

The Secretary of Economic Development of Tamaulipas commented that Kemet is a company that has a presence in Mexico with two plants in Nuevo León and two in this state.

The Ciudad Victoria plant, in 2020 and so far in 2021, has had a significant expansion, as it is increasingly gaining the confidence of the corporate to install new production lines.

The company is a world leader in the manufacture of electronic capacitors, the importance is that these are not only intended for the automotive industry, but also for aerospace, communications and everything that has to do with medical use.

He added that with this expansion it is triggered that the plant located in Matamoros will also do well, since they are the suppliers.

In Matamoros they make the shell of the capacitor and in the Ciudad Victoria plant they complete the manufacturing process of the product.

Kemet products are used for a variety of applications in the automotive, defense and aerospace, industrial, telecommunications, computing, consumer and medical industries.

Technology applications encompass filtration, sensors, energy storage, energy conversion, and haptic technology.
