Kansas City Southern de México (KCSM) will invest 2 thousand 368 million pesos (about 118 million dollars) this year, although this figure would be increasing due to the construction of the international rail bridge between Laredo and Nuevo Laredo.

Part of the works correspond to the construction of a clearing that will be the existing bridge in Laredo, through which 32 trains are crossing per day on the north bridge.

Of the total investment, 1,894 million pesos (mp) for infrastructure, 236 million pesos for rolling equipment and for business support (systems) will be 236 million pesos.

Meanwhile, in Matamoros they observe significant growth due to the F line that runs from Monterrey, Matamoros and the port of Brownsville, where it will go from 25 thousand cars to 45 thousand cars a year.

They will also allocate a large part of the resources to the infrastructure in Monterrey, where a satellite patio is being built in Salinas Victoria, as well as its intermodal terminal, cranes, roads, among others.

For San Luis Potosí, Eaton explained that the investment will be for signage in the courtyard, extension of slopes to avoid the encounter of trains and allow their passage, to mention some works.
