Jetour enters the Mexican market and plans to build an automotive plant in 2024

Jetour, the automotive brand that was born in Wuhu, China in 2018, arrives in Mexico thanks to LDR, the importing group. During the presentation event, Bart Want, vice president of the brand, said that Mexico and China are currently seen as important representatives in the global automotive industry.

Jetour will begin operations in Mexico as of April 15 with a network of 26 dealerships located in Mérida, Villahermosa, Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, Mexico City, Puebla, Morelia, León, Celaya, Irapuato, Guadalajara, Aguascalientes, Zacatecas, Culiacán, Querétaro, Monterrey, Saltillo, Torreón and Tijuana.

Irma Soto, LDR's director of marketing and communication, commented that the group intends to transmit technology and vanguard in vehicles, the same that made it successful by positioning more than 600,000 units in 30 markets around the world.

“We offer a range of SUV's designed/specifically to be elegant, intelligent, spacious and multifunctional.

During the first year of operation they intend to sell 20,000 units and generate 50 direct jobs and more than 1,000 indirect jobs this year.

"Jetour, together with two of the best banks in the country, created a series of plans and promotions that realistically adjust to the current socioeconomic context."

2024 is a year of great importance for the brand, since it will be when Jetour begins to build its first plant in Mexico. In parallel, more models will be made available, as well as hybrid versions of them.

The new plant will produce the X70 and X90, SUVs with which Jetour will enter the Mexican market. This production will be mainly for export to the United States and South America, and the initial investment is expected to be 1.5 billion dollars.
