Interpuerto Monterrey will house Festo's industrial warehouse with an investment of 100 million doll

The German firm Festo laid the first stone of its new plant with three construction phases and will be located in  Salinas Victoria, Nuevo León

For this new complex, which is expected to finish construction in 2025, 100 million dollars will be invested on land located in the Monterrey Interpuerto Industrial Park. This park has received well-known companies and international clients, and is located in the vicinity of the airport as well as Festo Monterrey and only 200 km from the border with the United States.

From this plant, the company will offer automation solutions to sectors such as the automotive, mining, pharmaceutical and electronic sectors.

“Nuevo León attracted 2 thousand 332 million dollars in foreign investment during the first quarter of this year, a record figure for that period of time. Companies like Festo demonstrate the excellent climate for doing business that exists in Nuevo León and we welcome them,” said Mitch Abundis, Investment Director of the Ministry of Economy.

In Mexico, Festo has representations throughout the country and operations for more than 50 years, with a presence in 176 countries, and advancing in the consolidation of the leadership of industrial automation in North America.

That is why the Board of Directors of Festo has decided to acquire land in Monterrey (Nuevo León), to expand the capacity of the Business Regions in North America (NAM) and South America (SAM), with the new strategic approach 'Local for Local' , where the objective is to open up the great growth potential of these markets.

Until now, Festo did not produce in Mexico, however, the country occupies a key position as a production location for supplying the North American markets and is becoming increasingly important for supplying the South American market.
