Start of industrial construction in Mexico grows 15% compared to the first two months of 2023

During the first two months of 2024, the industrial real estate sector in Mexico has shown signs of strong dynamism, with the start of construction of a total of 705 thousand square meters of industrial warehouses in the country.

The figure for the start of industrial construction reports an increase of 15% compared to the figure accumulated during the first two months of 2023. This strong start of projects predicts a promising year for the industry, with a clear push towards development and economic expansion.

Among the main cities that lead this explosion of new projects, Monterrey is positioned at the forefront with the construction of 232 thousand square meters of industrial warehouses. Mexico City follows closely, with 173 thousand square meters, consolidating itself as an important center of industrial activity in the country. For its part, Querétaro rises to third place on this list, with the initiation of the construction of 147 thousand square meters of industrial warehouses.

This volume of construction of industrial warehouses reflects not only the confidence of investors in the Mexican market, but also the growing demand for industrial spaces by national and international companies.
