Infonavit reveals that 58% of beneficiaries want to buy a home on credit

Infonavit conducted the first National Credit and Housing Survey for the first quarter of 2021; 58% of those surveyed said they were interested in acquiring a loan for the purchase of a house; 56.6% for the construction of their own land; 55.3% to buy land and 52.7% to remodel their home.

The average of the participants indicated that they will probably not apply for a loan in the next 12 months; while people with incomes between 3 and 5 times the minimum wage are those who expressed the highest expectations of requesting financing for housing or land in the short term.

Regarding the economic situation, 43.9% expect the household's financial situation to be better in the next 12 months and 56.6% foresee that the country's situation will improve in the same period.

Regarding the financing conditions, they indicated greater interest in using a Unamos Crédito Infonavit scheme (38.5%) compared to a marital loan (36.6%); and only 25.4% would like to combine their credit from the institute with commercial banking.
