The laying of the first stone of the Gate Pacific Industrial Park in Tijuana was celebrated, a project that has injected 205 million dollars into the economy of Baja California.

With a 5-year development horizon, Industrial Gate Pacific is anticipated to contribute significantly to the region's economic growth as it plans to create over 3 million square feet of industrial space in Tijuana.

One of the most outstanding aspects of this investment is the participation of DHL Supply Chain, which has announced the construction of the 'El Carrizo' distribution center in Tijuana. With an area of 20 thousand square meters, this distribution center aims to meet the growing needs of the supply chain on the northern border.

Guillermo Espinosa, representative of DHL Supply Chain - Real Estate Solutions Mexico, announced that the warehouse installation will employ more than 600 people in three daily shifts, which will significantly contribute to meeting the demands of the industry in the region.

This warehouse will offer a full range of DHL Supply Chain services, including warehousing, e-commerce, transportation and delivery. It is expected to initially cover an area of 20 thousand square meters, with plans to expand to 140 thousand square meters in the next decade.

With 18 platforms and more than 20 thousand pallet positions, this distribution center will serve various industries, including automotive, e-commerce, aeronautics, medical devices, technology and manufacturing.

Alejandro Raya, vice president of DHL Supply Chain, highlighted the strategic location of Tijuana, its proximity to the United States border, trade agreements such as the USMCA and the growth in the quality of local talent as key factors driving the phenomenon of Nearshoring. This phenomenon is facilitating a more efficient and economical supply chain, simplifying export procedures and promoting the growth of the industry in Mexico.
