The Home Depot will invest 3.33 billion pesos in Mexico by 2021, to open new stores, efficiencies in its logistics and retail. What is destined will be 39% more than what is planned in 2020.

Given this growth, he mentioned that one of the great proposals for 2021 is to further strengthen its interconnected retail strategy. He also highlighted that they plan to boost their online growth with a current, extended and exclusive mix.

It should be noted that in 2020, The Home Depot allocated resources for 2 thousand 395 million pesos in the country, as part of its expansion strategy.

The company plans to improve its supply chain to ensure the supply of products as well as their availability. It will also expand its distribution center located in Atitalaquia, Hidalgo to increase storage capacity, as well as the renewal of its technological platform and the mechanization of some activities to achieve operational efficiencies.

Although during the year there was a stagnation in the construction of industrial spaces in the Valley of Mexico, for the last quarter of the year the beginning of the construction of 150 thousand square meters is reported, being the northern area where more developers expand or modify their inventories to meet demand.

According to the real estate platform Solili, in the short term it will be analyzed that the development and growth of new industrial zones reaches municipalities such as Zumpango and Huehuetoca, in the State of Mexico - where there are still lands - and with this investment plans are triggered and infrastructure.

Also, Tultitlán and Tepotzotlán are some corridors that have registered construction in the last quarter of 2020 and it is expected that more projects will be developed in that area in the future.
