After Hisun announced an investment of 105 million dollars in Coahuila at the beginning of the year, the company of Chinese origin and with a presence in the United States, opened its plant in the city of Saltillo; the manufacturing complex is located in the Mencorsa Industrial Park.

The company dedicated to the assembly of ATV vehicles for different segments such as entertainment, agribusiness and sports, also confirmed its participation in the Coahuila 1000 event, which is held to tour the main regions of the state.

In this sense, Jason Sun, CEO of the firm, thanked the state authorities for their support in carrying out said project. Likewise, he recognized the management of the governor to attend to all their concerns and thus decide to invest in the entity.

“It is very pleasant to share this day with those present, since this type of vehicle is very common in the region, so I express my happiness that the governor shares the pleasure of driving one of them; however, our goal is that soon the majority of the inhabitants here will do the same.”

In his speech, Marco Villarreal, general director of Hisun in Saltillo, said that the initial workforce will be 1,500 employees.

He also mentioned that the supply will be completely imported, 50% from the United States and another 50% from China; however, over time they hope to be able to obtain all the raw material in our country in order to strengthen the local value chain.

He concluded that the first exports will only be to the United States and Canada, but that they hope to serve other markets from the Coahuila capital.

In its first stage, Hisun will manufacture 22 different models of this type of vehicles, so they will have the capacity to produce up to 5,000 units during the rest of the year.

Finally, according to information provided by the company, it is expected that by 2024 50,000 units per year can be produced.
