"There is a huge line of companies that want to settle," he said in an interview, referring to the wave of investments that have been registered in the country in recent months as part of an industrial trend called nearshoring, which deals with the relocation of lines of business to be closer to the poles of consumption.

Simón Cohen recalled that there are more than 400 global companies that want to establish themselves in Mexico and the only thing they are waiting for is for the federal government to guarantee them energy and water, as well as security issues, the rule of law and infrastructure.

“Mexico has 10 or 15 spectacular years ahead of it. For our part, we are betting on technology in an impressive way. (And in terms of disruptions) we have to control what we can control and what we can't adapt to as quickly as possible," he said.
