The director of Harman Mexico, Iván Báez, announced an investment of 4 million dollars aimed at producing displays for vehicles, a project that will generate 100 new jobs in the state of Querétaro.

"It is an investment of more than 4 million dollars, in that operation alone, there are around 100 additional jobs," he pointed out.

He mentioned that this investment includes the expansion of the second plant in the state of Querétaro to start this new process in 2023.

"Next year we are going to start a new process that is optical bonding or optical union and we are going to be producing displays for vehicles in the state, it is the new process. It will be located in building 2, the building will be expanded ", he detailed.

Iván Báez, director of Harman Mexico. Iván Báez elaborated that for the production of displays they will build a class 6 clean room, since it is a new technology for Harman, as well as for the region.

"It is any type of vehicle to complement the infotainment systems with screens, we are going to start with a project that we currently have, which is the FPDM, which is from passenger display medium that has a screen already integrated on the passenger side," he said.

"It is something that the vehicles did not have, right now it is brought by the Grand Cherokee, Jeep Wagoneer and the screens are produced in Asia and now, we are going to produce them here in Mexico", informed the general director.

The manager recalled that Harman has had a presence in Querétaro since 2011 with 200 employees and a building, and that they are currently manufacturing headquarters, a pilot product factory, an environmental testing laboratory, and a design center.

"Then the growth of the company is very interesting, it is betting very strongly on what Querétaro is, because of the talent we have here and because the operation in the state has given good results," he concluded.
