Guanajuato continues in its process of economic diversification, targeting differentiated sectors such as the health care sector and the development of medical devices.

The entity has a high potential to develop the ecosystem for the consolidation of medical tourism and the formation of a cluster.

For this reason, Ramón Alfaro Gómez, head of the Secretariat for Sustainable Economic Development (SDES), said that the state continues to strengthen its portfolio to attract investments from differentiated sectors and/or with greater technological content.

The State Government delegation participated in panels, conferences and workshops on equity in health as part of the business strategy, regulatory activities and rules that govern the environment, as well as meetings with important representatives of the Mexican consulate, private initiative, investors with operations in Guanajuato and US government agencies.

The Medtech Conference brings together leading executives and innovators from around the world to explore the topics of the medical device and life sciences industry and share and build visions for the future focused on new technologies and joint solutions.

There, actions were analyzed to work on improving access to health care through technology, as well as opening business opportunities among more than 200 companies with common interests in networking sessions at the Exhibition Pavilion.
