As part of its transition to industry 4.0, Guanajuato announced the arrival of 10 new technology projects to the entity, which together represent an investment of 861 million dollars (mdd) and the generation of 1,637 highly specialized jobs.

Among these projects, the arrival of the hyperscale Data Center of the company Layer 9 stands out, which will be the largest in Latin America and Mexico, and which is expected to open the doors for more investment projects in new technologies and information.

According to the head of the entity's Secretariat for Sustainable Economic Development (SDES), Ramón Alfaro Gómez, with the attraction of these investments focused on greater technological content, the transfer of knowledge is promoted, the local economy is accelerated and added value to the traditional sectors of Guanajuato.

With these actions, an innovation ecosystem is developed in the center of the country, which will significantly increase the competitiveness of the state.

Alfaro Gómez highlighted that Guanajuato has strategic alliances, infrastructure development, educational relevance, energy sufficiency, logistics and mobility, which gives it high competitiveness.

The confirmation of these investments allows the consolidation of projects towards an economy driven by the vision of the Mindset and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which in turn increases the demand for more specialized jobs.

With this type of project, Guanajuato is projected as the cradle of industry 4.0 in Latin America, promoting its coordinated work between academia, industry, and government, which encourages sustained, equitable, inclusive, and innovative growth.
