In the recently completed 2021 Investment Attraction Tour in Europe, Guanajuato made investments for more than 446 million dollars, which will generate about 5 thousand 556 direct and indirect jobs.

The objective of the tour was to strengthen alliances with world leaders in the automotive, auto parts, aeronautics, food, innovation and technology development sectors, which reiterated their confidence in the region with more projects and injection of capital.

During the visits to the Nestlé-Purina, ITT Motion Technologies, Pirelli, Grupo PROMA, Ferrero, Le Bélier, SAFRAN and ZKW corporations; The Guanajuato delegation presented the competitive advantages in logistics infrastructure, application of the rule of law and public policies in economic development, which the entity has for new investments and the consolidation of existing production plants.

In Switzerland, Nestlé-Purina's investment was confirmed for 160 million dollars for the production plant located in Guanajuato Puerto Interior (GPI), located in Silao.

In Italy, ITT Motion Technologies completed a $ 40 million project that is dedicated to producing brake pads, shock absorbers and other components for the automotive and rail markets.

Pirelli also confirmed an investment of 36 million dollars, to reach annual production of 7.2 million tires at its GPI plant, which will allow the integration of new automated machinery and the implementation of state-of-the-art processes.

Additionally, Pirelli will build the Center for Research, Development, Innovation and Professional Training, with a capital injection of 13.5 million dollars.

The Italian company Grupo PROMA that focuses on the manufacture of structures for vehicle seats, affirmed an investment of more than 6.2 million dollars to build a production plant in the Polígono Industrial San Miguel de Allende; it will be the second in Mexico.

Grupo Ferrero from Italy implemented the “Joy of Moving” Program, a methodology to promote an active lifestyle in childhood, with a budget of more than 10 million pesos.

The Austrian ZKW affirmed an investment of 103 million dollars, for the production plant in GPI, which serves clients such as AUDI, BMW, Volvo, Mercedes Benz, Volkswagen and General Motors.

Le Bélier for his part confirmed more than 101 million dollars, which will allow him to integrate all the aluminum casting techniques through state-of-the-art systems.

The Michelin Group and SAFRAN were also visited, and with the latter agreements were established to promote future investments with this leading company in the aerospace industry.

During the work tour through Germany, the strategic alliance that exists with Hannover Messe was consolidated, to develop in Guanajuato more innovation, Industry 4.0 and MindInvoicing.

All these efforts highlight the commitment and vision of local authorities in favor of development, job creation and care for the environment with the use of innovation and technology.
