Grupo Scantibodies laid the first stone of a project with four industrial buildings in the Valle Redondo area, between Tijuana and Tecate, where it will offer logistics services for high-standard industries such as medical devices, aerospace, and electronics.

In this way, the medical sector maintains its leadership in Baja California with the arrival of new investments, since the corporation started the Alegría building, the first phase of the project being four industrial buildings that will range in 500,000 square feet.

The investment in this first stage is 120 million dollars, informed Adrián Hernández López, manager of Business Development and Public Relations of Grupo Scantibodies. It is a 15-hectare piece of land in Valle Redondo, an area located between Tijuana and Tecate, where logistics services will be offered for the medical device, aerospace, and electronics industries, and any other industry that requires certain controlled storage.

The manager pointed out that both the facilities and the transportation service will have a controlled temperature, in addition to complying with certifications that are required in high-standard industries.

“The works began a couple of months ago and today the flag is given with the permits to start the construction; There will be four stages, the first is 466,000 square feet, and the Alegría building is considered to be ready in the first third of 2024,” he commented.

In this vein, the manager argued that there is no defined date to complete the entire project, since the corporation has decided to invest with its own resources, so the time will depend on the behavior of the business.

On the other hand, Hernández López added that soon the corporation will also open a 125,000-square-foot building in the Otay area, since its vision is to expand its services in this strategic region.

Adrián Hernández also assured that the corporation wants Baja California to be the northern gate of Biotechnology, with an offer of well-paid jobs for the communities furthest from the cities.
