Gruma will invest 1,500 million pesos in Yucatán for a new production plant

The Mexican tortilla producer Gruma will invest 1,500 million pesos (about 89 million dollars) in the next six to eight years, through its subsidiary Mission Foods México, to develop a production plant in the state of Yucatán, according to what was reported. with the company this Monday, January 15.

The production plant will have the capacity to generate 56,000 metric tons per year of products that will be sent to the region, as well as to the southern United States and Caribbean countries such as the Dominican Republic.

The plant will help generate more than 800 jobs in the Yucatan Peninsula, added Gruma, which has a presence in more than 100 countries in America, Europe, Asia and Oceania.
