The Spanish company Gestamp recently announced a major investment in land from San Luis Potosí; focused on the automotive industry.

The investment will generate new sources of employment and will bring with it the interest of other companies in the sector to locate in the state, according to Juan Carlos Valladares Eichelman, Secretary of Economic Development in San Luis Potosí.

The secretary revealed that the company, oriented to the manufacture of systems and components for the automotive industry, announced its intentions to expand in San Luis Potosí in the short term, after the approach achieved by Governor Ricardo Gallardo on the promotional tour industry that took place in Europe, added to the projection that is achieved through the Hannover Messe 2023.

The head of Sedeco reported that this announcement is part of the permanent work being carried out in San Luis Potosí to increase global investment to the state, thereby consolidating itself among the main economies that attract Foreign Direct Investment.

Valladares explained that the amount and number of investments achieved in recent months places San Luis Potosí among the five economies in Mexico with the highest growth, dynamism of its production plant and job offer for the people of Potosí.
