Furukawa Electric Group confirms plant expansion in Guanajuato

On the third day of activities of the work tour of Japan, the governor of Guanajuato, Diego Rodríguez Vallejo, confirmed an investment by the company Furukawa Electric Group, for the expansion of its plant in the entity for 90 million pesos.

This company already resides in the Sendai Industrial Park, in Valle de Santiago, as Furukawa Automotive Systems Mexico, where it offers more than 250 jobs for the manufacture of automotive systems and electronic equipment.

Mexico is the first Japanese export destination in America and there are around 1,300 companies with Japanese capital in the country. It should be noted that Japan is the first commercial partner of Guanajuato, to date 124 companies have been established in the state, with an investment of more than six thousand 300 million dollars that achieve the generation of more than 44 thousand jobs.

In the current government administration, eleven Japanese companies invested more than 313 million dollars, to generate 4,650 new jobs in Guanajuato.

"In Guanajuato there is an opportunity for investment and development, in addition to having a rule of law that guarantees security in company investments," said the president.

He also pointed out that Guanajuato has highly qualified professionals, where Innovation, entrepreneurship, science and technology are fundamental factors for the economic and social impulse of the entity.
