The Monterrey firm Frisa announced an investment of 200 million dollars, which will result in a significant expansion of the capacity in the plants dedicated to forging and the aerospace industry.

The investment seeks to expand production in its plants located in the municipalities of García and Santa Catarina, in the development of special and aerospace steel products, announced Eduardo Garza T Junco, president of the company.

The company will seek not only to increase its production in the aerospace sector, but also to explore export markets for special steels.

One of the highlighted milestones in Frisa's trajectory is its close collaboration with the space company Space X, founded by Elon Musk. Garza T Junco shared that this relationship began as a technical process that took a year and a half to consolidate.

Today, Frisa is the main supplier of components for the engines that are installed under the Space X launch rockets. "Every time there is a Space X launch, there is a product made in Santa Catarina," stressed the director, underlining the essential contribution of the company to contemporary space exploration.

When asked about Frisa's relationship with the automotive industry, Garza T Junco explained that his participation is indirect, by providing tools for automobile manufacturing companies. In addition, he announced that part of the planned investment could lead Frisa to become a supplier of raw materials for these automotive producers.

With a presence in around 60 countries, Frisa employs more than 3,100 people. However, with the planned expansions and improvements, this figure is expected to reach close to 4,000 employees, according to the company's president.
