The Housing Fund of the ISSSTE (FOVISSSTE) announced through a statement that, in the 2020 financial year, it generated returns of 8 thousand 179 million pesos for the benefit of State workers who do not have a loan and that will be credited to their respective accounts.

During the current administration, FOVISSSTE has generated yields of 16 thousand 737 million pesos, in the years 2019 and 2020.

In this way, the objectives set by article 177 of the Law of the Institute of Social Security and Services for State Workers (ISSSTE) are met.

With these resources, workers who do not have a mortgage financing from the Fund increase their capital to buy a home or, if they do not apply for the loan, increase their savings for retirement. 4.2 million active workers and former employees of government agencies are expected to benefit.

At the end of the first month of 2021, FOVISSSTE released the total number of loan applications for 2021 that add up to a total of 97 thousand 910, with which, an economic spill of 38 thousand 18 million pesos is contemplated that is projected to generate close to 635 thousand direct and indirect jobs in the country.
