Workers in the service of the State who wish to build their home in the rural-indigenous areas of the country can register for the mortgage loan "Raíces" from Fovissste.

The registration period for applications is through the Fovissste web portal (www.gob.mx/fovissste), it began on March 1 at 9:00 in the morning (central time) and will last until the 31st of August at 6:00 pm

According to the call, the loan must be exercised under the “Build Your House” modality for own land and can be jointly owned.
The Fund made improvements to the operating rules and, now, the beneficiary may allocate up to 35 percent of the financing for the purchase of a property (in case of not having one) and use the remaining 65 percent for the construction of the housing, which must be completed and delivered in habitable conditions within a period of no more than one year.

The Fovissste expects to assign up to 2,750 “Roots” credits, the foregoing is based “with the corresponding folio number that is granted at the time of registration”; generating an economic spill of 2 thousand 62 million 500 thousand pesos.

According to the statement, during 2020 the Fund authorized 718 financing for 518 million pesos, mainly in the states of Oaxaca, Puebla and Veracruz.
