Finka San Antonio invests 1,200 million pesos in Querétaro

The agro-industrial company Finka San Antonio inaugurated the expansion of its plant, which will start production in San Juan del Río with an investment of 1.2 billion pesos (mdp).

It should be noted that the company, which belongs to the primary sector, began its operating cycle with five hectares in the state's Agropark in 2009-2010.

In this sense, the president of Finka's Board of Directors, Nathan Feldman Nisenbaum, explained that the company currently has 52.6 hectares in operation in Querétaro.

Specifically, in Colón it has 31 hectares and its extension to San Juan del Río has added 21.6 of 170 hectares that are available in said demarcation.

In his speech, the CEO of Finka, Jorge del Toro Chávez, shared that to date, the company has more than 1,200 employees, but once the project is at its maximum capacity, there will be 3,000 direct jobs and more than a thousand indirect.

He said that the project in its first stage considers the operation of a state-of-the-art greenhouse, 7.5 meters high, diffused glass in its foundry, and other technologies that make it unique in the country. Said qualities, he said, contribute to Finka continuing to be one of the leading companies in the American continent.

The governor of Querétaro, Mauricio Kuri González, attended the inauguration of Finka's expansion in San Juan del Río, where he said that he was pleased that the company today is expanding its horizons in the state.

Likewise, the governor highlighted Finka's contribution, not only in the specialized cultivation of tomatoes, cucumbers and mini cucumbers under high-tech greenhouses, but also for the generation of jobs.
