With an estimated total investment of 185 million dollars, Fibra Macquarie México announced the start of construction of its new industrial real estate project, located in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.

The project is part of its development program and involves the construction of ten buildings, with a total area of approximately 230,000 square meters.

Through a statement, he indicated that this development project will be completed in several stages. The first phase includes an approximate investment of 48.4 million dollars.

At this start, the construction of an industrial building of approximately 24 thousand 800 m2 of gross rentable area will be carried out. It is estimated that construction will be completed in the second half of 2023 along with the necessary infrastructure for the park to begin operations.

“This strategic project represents an important step in the execution of our development program and reflects our commitment to the state of Chihuahua. We are confident in the long-term economic fundamentals, which are reflected in the growing real estate activity that has facilitated record occupancy in Ciudad Juárez”, commented Simon Hanna, general director of Fibra Macquarie.

He added that "these conditions provide an opportunity to contribute to the growth of the industrial sector and benefit from nearshoring in Mexico, which we consider a long-term fundamental pillar for the demand for industrial spaces."

The construction of this building will be based on a sustainable design, attached to the LEED methodology, which was developed by the US Green Building Council to seek a standard of efficiency in the construction and operation of buildings.
