Fibra Storage acquires a new property in CDMX for 122.7 million pesos

With an investment of 122.7 million pesos (mdp), Fibra Storage announced the acquisition of a new property located on Avenida Periférico Sur, in Mexico City (CDMX), the company reported in a statement sent to the Mexican Stock Exchange.

The Real Estate Investment Trust specialized in the development and leasing of mini-warehouses in Mexico, mentioned in the brief message that the acquisition was formalized on March 15, 2023.

This is the second property that the Real Estate Investment Trust has acquired this year. The first was announced on February 3. The purchased property is located in the area limited by Patriotismo, Viaducto Miguel Alemán and Viaducto Río Becerra avenues in CDMX.

The purchase price of the property was for a total of 77.9 million pesos, including closing costs. With these acquisitions, Fibra Storage has invested a total of 200.6 million in its growth plan for 2023 and increased the number of properties in its portfolio to 35, which are located mainly in Mexico City.

Also this year, it has announced the opening of two properties, located in CDMX. Additionally, it has seven lots for future development. Last year it acquired two plots of land for new developments, some of which have already begun their pre-construction or construction stage.

Fibra Storage's Gross Leasable Area (GLA) was 156,656 square meters (m2), at the close of the fourth quarter of last year.
