Fibra Mty, in alliance with Grupo Bursátil Mexicano (GBM) and Actinver Casa de Bolsa, create a financial education campaign aimed at the retail segment "with the purpose of disseminating investment in the real estate sector and democratizing the ownership of these assets by making them attainable to a greater proportion of the population through Real Estate Investment Trusts (Fibra)”.

For the first time in the stock market in Mexico, a Fibra and two Brokerage Houses come together to bring this new generation of investors closer to their subsequent issuance of capital of up to 3,450 million pesos, they reported in a statement.

The initiative is called “Súmate al Fibra Mty follow-on” and it will be the way for the investor to enter the portfolio through its digital platform, either GBM+ or Bursanet, of GBM and Actinver.

According to EY data, there is a 46 percent contraction in the stock market on a global scale, a lag mainly driven by volatility in the markets, inflation, geopolitical tensions and the weakening of the stock market, so there is also a large segment of investors not served by public issuers seeking to start or diversify their portfolio.

“Fibra Mty once again becomes a benchmark in the stock market as it joins forces with GBM and Actinver through their digital platforms in a very innovative way and never before seen in the market.

“The securities market, which has historically been funded by local and foreign institutional accounts, today incurs an innovative securities offering that is aimed at an estimated more than 2.5 million account holders, a segment of investors that until now was not served by public broadcasters," the statement quoted.

The placement efforts will be carried out by a total of five intermediaries, including BBVA, Scotiabank, Actinver, BTG Pactual and GBM.
