Fibra Inn will make a strategic alliance with Aimbridge Hospitality

Fibra Inn, the real estate investment trust specialized in hospitality, has entered into a strategic alliance with Aimbridge Hospitality, the world's largest hotel operator.

The foregoing after it bought Grupo Hotelero Prisma, the main operator of Fibra Inn's properties.

"This acquisition is strategic for the Trust, since both Aimbridge Hospitality and Grupo Hotelero Prisma share the same business model: they are independent hotel operators that serve a wide spectrum of international brands," stated the hotel trust in a report. .

Although details about the operation were not released, the negotiation was completed on June 1 and now Prisma will be the US subsidiary to operate in Mexico.

With this, Fibra Inn will have preferential participation in the purchase of properties in which the US participates with potential clients, greater efficiency in hotel management fees and Aimbridge's negotiating power with international chains and suppliers, among others.

In addition, it eliminates the conflict of interest from which negotiations were not carried out on equal terms with some officials or executives of the administration, such as their employment contracts with the administrator or with the companies of Grupo Hotelero Prisma due to their quality of officials of said entities.

"This strategic alliance with Aimbridge represents an agreement of great strategic value for Fibra Inn, due to the support of its international experience, additional efficiencies that can be achieved and the opportunity to preferentially participate in future investments," Óscar Calvillo, director, wrote in the statement.
