Mexico's exports to the United States reached an all-time high during the first half of the year, totaling $298.2 billion—a 13% year-over-year increase that solidified the country's position as the leading supplier of goods to the U.S. market.

According to U.S. Census Bureau figures, the value of Mexican shipments accounted for 17.1% of all U.S. imports between January and June, allowing Mexico to widen its lead over its main trade competitors. Canada ranked second with an 11.5% share, followed by Taiwan at 7.8%, while China dropped to fourth place with 7.4%.

The strength of the trade relationship between Mexico and the U.S. was also reflected in the total trade volume between the two countries. Undersecretary of Foreign Trade Luis Rosendo Gutiérrez highlighted that, from January to June, Mexico remained the United States' top trading partner, recording $493.7 billion in bilateral trade—surpassing Canada ($376 billion) and China ($184.8 billion).
