​Magna Lighting expansion exceeds 20 million dollars in Querétaro

Magna Lighting confirmed its expansion process at its plant located in Corregidora, in Querétaro, a project that will have an investment that exceeds 20 million dollars.

The Canadian company aims to strengthen its presence in the Mexican automotive industry. 

The Magna Lighting division is dedicated to manufacturing high quality lighting systems, with expertise in headlights, taillights, and small lights.

The regional director of Grupo Mechatronics, Mirrors Lighting in Mexico, Genaro Costilla, said that this expansion goes beyond simply increasing the productive capacity of the plant; it is also rooted in meeting the ever-changing demands of the automotive industry and moving towards a more sustainable future.

“This expansion allows us to adopt cutting-edge technologies and state-of-the-art equipment, thus improving our production capacity, optimizing processes and reducing our environmental impact. Sustainability is a central pillar of our business philosophy, and we take our responsibility seriously.”

Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero, head of the Secretariat for Sustainable Development (Sedesu), reported that the value of production in the transportation equipment manufacturing sector, to which Magna belongs, experienced growth of 7.7% in the first quarter of year, reaching the figure of 29,286 million pesos.
