The aeronautical company of French origin, Safran, announced an expansion project in Querétaro, which is expected to create 800 new highly specialized jobs, which will be added to the 2,500 workers that the plant currently has located in the state.

The foregoing was consolidated during a meeting held by the state governor, Mauricio Kuri González, with the CEO of Safran, Oliver Andriés, as part of his work agenda in Paris, France.

In this sense, Olivier Andriés acknowledged that the Querétaro facilities have become the largest maintenance center in all of America thanks to effort and dedication, which is also the result of the mentality for continuous improvement that Queretaro residents contribute; characteristic said, which favors the global presence of the entity.

Under this tenor, the CEO of Safran endorsed his entire confidence in Querétaro and assured that his decision has been backed by the support and unconditional accompaniment of the state government throughout the 20 years of having started operations in the entity; He highlighted that the expansion project is a reality due to the competitive benefits that are offered.

During the meeting, it was also agreed to promote educational programs and specialized training centers in the aerospace sector, with the aim of strengthening the technical skills of Queretaro in the workplace.

Likewise, the governor of the entity and the CEO of Safran also discussed the development of local suppliers to strengthen the supply chain for the sector worldwide.

It should be noted that Safran is an international high-tech group that operates in the fields of aeronautics (propulsion, equipment and interiors), space and defense.
