Interest in investments continues to grow in Querétaro and it is expected that before the end of the year a dozen projects will materialize, including the information technology and manufacturing industries, said the entity's Secretary for Sustainable Development, Marco Antonio del Prete Tercero.

"We are about to announce some investments, waiting for dates from some of the companies that tell us their agenda availability, others waiting for the governor's agenda, '' he explained.

Currently, there is a portfolio of 40 investment projects, that is, they are intentions that are in the process of being managed to land in the state, which would imply a capital of 87 billion pesos and 23 thousand jobs.

“Mainly they are jobs for the automotive industry, which is the benchmark at the state level. In information technology and other industries, the main capital is from the United States and some European countries ”, he said.

Faced with the recent change in state administration, it will seek to maintain the state as an attractive destination to land new investment projects.

In a meeting with members of the Industrial Club, the governor of Querétaro, Mauricio Kuri González, stressed that he will guarantee the electricity supply for the companies installed and those seeking to arrive in the state.

Another of the local government's bets, he said, is to generate an unprecedented regulatory improvement proposal; It exemplifies that for the real estate industry, it will seek to reduce the processing time (which is more than 700 days) for a maximum of six months.

"We have to make a great regulatory improvement so that Querétaro is the great place for entrepreneurship, we are always going to bet on the entrepreneur," he declared.

The trade conflict between the United States and China, he said, is a great opportunity for Mexico and in particular for Querétaro; a synergy must be generated in North America to encourage new foreign investments to opt for the entity.

The study Perspectives of senior management in Mexico 2021, by the consulting firm KPMG, places Querétaro as the fourth most attractive destination in the country to expand the national presence of companies, only below Jalisco, Nuevo León and Mexico City.
