Demand for office space in Mexico is rising as companies place greater emphasis on location, property features, and the time required for occupancy.

Between January and July 2026, office leasing totaled 540,000 square meters—a 9.5% increase compared to the same period in 2025—according to Solili.

Monthly performance was less favorable; in July, gross demand reached 44,000 square meters, a year-over-year drop of nearly 60%, the firm reported.

Solili characterized the Mexican corporate market as being in a phase of "more selective dynamics," with a greater focus on space efficiency and the planning of new projects.

The national market closed July with just over one million square meters of office space under construction, 16% less than a year earlier. Solili also recorded no new project starts during that month.
