Mexican companies anticipate interruptions due to supply chain crises

54% of companies in Mexico anticipate interruptions in their supply chain at all, as was shown by the HSBC survey "Navigator: the sentiment of companies 2021".

According to the report, only 15% of domestic companies cited the potential disruption as a threat to their future growth, compared to 23% globally.

While almost one in three (30%) expect international trade to be easier in the next year.

In this sense, the banking organization observed that business leaders in Mexico have a favorable outlook for the next 12 months.

This despite the current circumstances regarding Covid-19 and its economic consequences, such as the crisis in the supply chain.

So 83% of them say they remain optimistic and more than one in five (22%) estimate an increase in income of more than 20 percent.

All this with an expected return to profitability prior to the health emergency, levels that they intend to reach in August 2022.

However, concern about the continuing impact of the pandemic continues, with the most cited risks being the resurgence of the virus and the possibility of more outbreaks.

Likewise, they remain on the alert for rising inflation, even more than in any other market surveyed. But even despite the uncertainty, 45% of businesses in Mexico prioritize expansion into new markets.

Another of the most mentioned strategies was investment in new technologies and digital tools to improve remote work.
