76% of nearshoring investment is reaching Nuevo León

Mexico is now one of the reference points for the arrival of new foreign investments from companies, which aim to relocate their production centers, to reach the American market without problems.

For the northern Mexican sector, the most requested states are Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas.

By 2023, Mexico added 36,058 million dollars in foreign direct investment, of which 50% was concentrated in the manufacturing sector.

For this line of investment, 76% of nearshoring has been established in Nuevo León, where 203 new projects were closed, of which 104 are new and the rest are expansions.

Last year the state exported 56 billion dollars, of which 40 billion dollars were of manufacturing origin, which represents 75% of Nuevo León's exports abroad, data from the Franco-Mexican Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Currently, new sectors are being strengthened that seek to strengthen the supply chain, which is why Index Nuevo León added 3 committees to address it, which are; energy, risk management and women in manufacturing.
