The Mexican economy will continue its good run during the second month of this year. The Timely Indicator of Economic Activity (IOAE) revealed that last February a growth of 0.29% would be registered at a seasonally adjusted monthly rate.

This IOAE variation carried out by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) means registering three consecutive months with increases.

“The momentum of the end of 2022 would have continued, supported by the entry into force of the new minimum wage, more than offset by the acceleration of inflationary pressures.

In addition, the financial group adds that employment recovered, while remittances maintained dynamism despite negative seasonality. This explains the 0.34% increase in tertiary activities.

Meanwhile, secondary activities increased 0.24%, supported by manufacturing and mining.
