
The intelligent energy management company, Eaton, announced an investment of 85 million dollars (mdd) for the expansion of 50% of its manufacturing operations in Querétaro, destined for the production of underground protection connectors, such as lightning arresters and connectors.
In this regard, Mike Yelton, president of the Americas Region of the company's electricity sector, stated: “The solutions we are producing in Querétaro are essential for reliable and resilient energy.”

He added that the expansion of its operations aims to meet the growing demand of electrical service companies throughout America.
In addition to the increase in production area, which is currently around 92,500 square feet, this project also includes the integration of new machinery, such as injection presses and manufacturing equipment.

With the capital injected into this work, Eaton's recent investments reached $750 million in the North American region alone. The work is also the 26th project to be completed in Querétaro, which is equivalent to 14,000 million pesos of investment.
The first stone of this expansion is expected to be laid in early 2024.
