Discovery Americas has found potential in logistics companies in Mexico, especially within the geopolitical environment in which the United States-China trade war gives it the opportunity to consolidate commercially with the neighboring country to the north.

The company has created eight investment vehicles with which it has invested in 24 companies within the transportation and logistics sectors, among which Volaris, Traxión and more stand out; as well as in education, financial services and health.

"We have seen how the focus of mobility is to expand a concept that is also very large, which is logistics, which is also accompanied by technology to make this logistics more efficient," said Carlos Mendoza, founding partner of Discovery Americas, in an interview. with T21.

The day before, Discovery Americas announced an investment in Servimsa Logistics & Services, an asset light company in the logistics and industrial services sector in Mexico.

With this investment, the company seeks to support Servimsa to make the bidding processes more competitive against large global competitors, through Discovery Americas' network of contacts in the aerospace, medical, transportation and logistics sectors.

According to Carlos Mendoza, Servimsa is one of the six companies within the fund that has an initial committed capital of 4.5 billion pesos.

Servimsa is a Mexican company with more than 25 years of experience in the market. It has a presence in states such as Puebla, Nuevo León, Veracruz and San Luis Potosí and is dedicated to offering services in the categories of internal logistics and industrial services for the automotive and metallurgical sectors to high-end clients.
