NY law firm creates affordable housing development in León

SO-IL, a New York firm, has built a low-rise, yet high-density, affordable housing development in the city of León, Guanajuato, called Las Américas.

The project of 60 six-story concrete houses has an area of 32,300 square feet; Units hug two interior courtyards that provide cross ventilation to the development, with parking and a commercial base.

In order for residents to have privacy, there are no facing apartments, that is, they are in a series of single-load corridors to open onto the patio and provide views of the neighborhood, the above responds to the sense of private property.

Las Américas in a project in collaboration with the Municipal Housing Institute of León (IMUVI), the city of León and SO-IL. We worked to "develop a structure that would be profitable and would encourage tenants to experience vertical homes as attractive as their detached single-family counterparts."
