
The San Luis Potosí market is on track to end the year with notable growth in gross industrial demand that exceeds 258 thousand square meters between January and November 2023.
During the month of November, the performance of this market exceeded all expectations by registering in a single month 98 thousand square meters of gross demand and the start of 100 thousand square meters of new industrial projects.
We observe the same behavior in the net demand, which during the first three quarters of the year totaled 276 thousand square meters, figures that mark historical highs in this market in the Mexican shoal.

In turn, the figures of the Monthly Indicator of Industrial Activity by Federal Entity issued by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography corresponding to the month of July 2023, also support this growth trend. With seasonally adjusted data, the largest monthly increases in industrial activity were reported, in real terms, in the markets of San Luis Potosí, Nayarit, Yucatán, Quintana Roo and Aguascalientes.
In this way, the annual variation in industrial activity reflects an increase of 32.3% in San Luis Potosí compared to July 2022, placing it in second place nationally, only after Quintana Roo, which had a variation of 242%.
Regarding the manufacturing industry, the Potosí entity had a positive variation of 36.4% compared to last year, which placed it in first place nationally in growth during the month of July.

Demand during the first three quarters of 2023 is inclined in a similar proportion between Class A and Class B warehouses. So far this year, 44% of rentals have been concentrated on the San Luis Potosí-Villa Arriaga submarket, leaving the remaining percentages of 35 and 21% in the San Luis Potosí and San Luis Potosi-Rio Verde Industrial Zone submarkets.
Logistics and the automotive sector continue to bring together a determining part of the demand so far this year, where the largest number of transactions correspond to sizes of 5 to 10 thousand square meters. Large industrial spaces were also present in this period with two warehouses that exceed 20 thousand square meters in the Industrial Zone submarkets of San Luis Potosí and San Luis Potosi-Rio Verde, as you can consult on the Solili platform.
