"As a result of the pandemic, many countries are betting on Mexico, many plants are expanding their production in Mexico, which has traditionally been a destination for manufacturing medical devices," reveals Ana Riquelme, executive director of the Mexican Association of Innovative Device Industries. "There were 40 manufacturing plants (affiliated with) the Mexican Association of Innovative Industries of Medical Devices before the Covid-19 pandemic, right now we have almost 50 companies," he told Forbes Mexico.
