Danfoss will build a compressor and sensor plant in Apodaca

The growth in demand for cooling technology in the United States market drives Danfoss in its expansion in Mexico, which is why it announced the construction of a new compressor and sensor manufacturing plant in Apodaca, Nuevo León.

The new expansion will produce medium and large scroll compressors, pressure sensors for HVAC/R, and A2L leak detection sensors for residential and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning. The facility will be ready by the end of 2024, starting with a capacity for 100 thousand compressor units, 1.6 million pressure sensors and one million A2L leak detection sensors.

This move is part of Danfoss' ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) strategy to offer localized production to customers. By expanding the global production footprint, the company is also ensuring supply chain flexibility and security for the future.

Fabio Klein, Senior Vice President of Scrolls and Reciprocating Compressors, said they are proud to launch production in Mexico to further support the market.
